These big challenges require collective and concerted action to tackle them, with a relevant role played by governments, and supranational, transnational, and international institutions, in providing services, policies, and forms of coordination and governance to address them. Societies, organizations and individuals are faced by wicked issues, slow-burning crises, such as climate change and migration movements, rising inequalities and poverty, as well as sudden shocks, such as the recent Covid-19 pandemics, or natural disasters. The EIASM Conference on Public Service Accounting, Accountability and Management welcomes contributions on all aspects of everyday life in public services accounting, accountability and management, providing a forum for scholarly debate on the challenges facing public services in the 21st century. The conference is scheduled in person.
